Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Kahlua Cake! I enjoyed this shot, and was marveling at the flowers, I zoomed in to full sized view. Marveled. Read your comment in order to see what you had to say and then I was preparing to go back and view on zoom again, but I got stuck at the Kahlua cake part of it. Now I'm hungry! What a shot! I love the two splashes of color and the way the light falls on the fence. I can see from this that it was a fun birthday celebration! Oooh...and Kahlua cake! WOW!

Marvelous POV to capture the great lighting contrast in this cool pic, Maz. Well, whatever food was served, it went like hotcakes because there's nothing left on the table except for the flowers, a glass, and a tablecloth, left clean as a whistle after all that eating. What a neat crowd.
