If you recall, the last time at the diner, in an act of desperation Ted made his feelings clear to Suzanne, and at the same time she provided him her number to call her so they could arrange a dinner date on one of her nights off. Well, they met for dinner on Suzanne's first night off and had such a wonderful time, they decided they should go out again on the next night too. They both realized that the time they had spent together those two nights was the most enjoyment they had both had in years. Ted realized Suzanne had really grown as a person and matured to handle her soon coming role as a mother; and Suzanne realized Ted is still the same mature family oriented gentleman she had always thought he was in school. They both personally knew they shouldn't jump to conclusions about where this was going, but they both quietly hoped it meant they would be together. So as they walked back to Suzanne's apartment after dinner, they talked about the interesting turn of events in life and how things could always be worse, and how those unexpected things sometimes lead you to make changes in your life. They reached her door, and Suzanne offered Ted a cup of coffee, he politely refused stating it was late and that he felt it best she get to bed so she was rested up for work in the morning. She understood, but had hoped they could have talked a bit more too. Suddenly, at the same time they both exclaimed; "I've had the best....." stopping half way through, laughing, and falling in towards each other; embracing with a deep gaze into each other eyes.... They laughed a bit about it, and hesitantly bid each other with a good night, Suzanne stretching up on her toes and grasping at Ted's arms to keep her balance, and Ted leaning in to try and make it a bit easier for Suzanne as they met with a kiss to end their evening. They again bid a good night, as Ted asked if he could bring over dinner for her tomorrow night; Suzanne said "I would love it, thank you!" "I should be home by four, so anytime after five would be lovely." Ted said, "After five it is, but it won't be much after five." In such a short time one persons life has done a complete and dramatic change, and the another has had the fulfillment of a dream start to take place; where will it lead for them?
