Description

Trying out a few new rendering techniques. This one kinda reminded me of the art you used to see on Airfix kit boxes. Bf109 by Bazze and a nice detailed texture so worth a zoom :) Thanks for looking. Mike.

Perfect, Mike... awesome in fact... great skyscape... coming to a kitset near you :o)......Nice work with Bazze's 109E... Yep the old Airfix artwork was fab, but definitely not PC for recent times.. ....but their latest works seem to be returning to the Roy Cross style of yore.

Really nice work. The sky is terrific and really makes for a dramatic presentation. Nicely weathered texture on Bazze's classic. I really like these simple "showcase" renders.

Excellent image mate, love the skyscape. What can you say about Bazze's model? 'the original and still best'. The new texture and tropical filter work really well. Agree with everyone re: the box art, I have a book about Airfix that includes a section about Roy Cross and other artists. Roy Cross painted the original cardboard flap instructions stapled to the poly bags before boxes. His original Spitfire and Bf-109E are among the most sort after by collectors.
