Absolutely great work. The modeling looks fantastic; incredible details on the houses and vehicles. It's a good render, but looks a little dated (perhaps that's the point, being the theme it is). ;) I like the materials, but I do think the black car is a bit too shiny. Good work also on the wet ground, although I feel the puddles could use some more depth and size variance, and have less frequency. The lighting, even for an overcast day, is showing shadowing that doesn't seem to fit; the pole shadow on the building, for example, is too sharp for such diffuse daylight, and even if the sun is peeking through, there's no indication of that in any of the reflective elements. My apologies for the overly picky critique, but this is such a marvelous and detailed scene overall, I feel it deserves an honest review of very minor issues that hopefully you will find useful.

Oh, what wonderful days...... I really wish there was some way to bring back the "feeling" of the 50s. I think most of us on this site are 'boomers' so your wonderful art and AWESOME sets have a special place in our hearts. You do an amazing job on these, Tom! Congrats on VOM - it's well deserved! I'll be getting this one, too! :-D

Splendid work Tom! My only criticism is the lack of wildlife... they had squirrels back in the 50s didn't they? Or am I just not seeing the critter...

Excellent! And cars that time. Would add little at dirt in the asphalt. Too sterile :)
