I never know what your Königsberg memories will do to emotionally, when I open a new image. This one reminds me of my great-grandmother who must have been on the same trail at this same time with 3 little children in tow and a pram filled with essentials and the odd 'valuable'. Her husband being a major in the Artillery and never to return. It must have been a sad time for millions of people worldwide and it's good to remember and never to forget who is to blame!
