Description

Fallen limbs and branches bleached white with time are scattered under this scarred Sequoia. The Vee shaped burn scar was most likely caused by lightening striking the top of the tree. I wasn’t going to post the original photo but I like how this Photoshop’ed version turned out. I hope you enjoy it too! I don't know if you painted in all those geometric dark lines or they are a natural effect enhanced by photoshop but I really find the diamond shaped patterns to be really striking along with the deep rich red and green earth tones. Their is excellent contrast in the opposing colors which hightens the tension of the scene.
