Diesen herrlichen Western Saloon incl. Hotel entdeckten wir in Los Alamos (Californien) auf der Suche nach einer Tankstelle. Wir konnten es kaum glauben. Hier schien die Zeit stehengeblieben zu sein. Natürlich konnten wir es uns nicht entgehen lassen, dieses Schmuckstück zu fotografieren. Bisher hatten wir so eine Location nur als Kulissenbau für Filme gesehen. Aber hier stand ein realer Saloon, der noch voll in Betrieb ist. Jedes Wochenende ist hier Live Music. Und wer an diesen Abenden fahruntüchtig ist, kann im Hotel einchecken. Die Besitzerin ließ mich bereitwillig fotografieren und erzählte uns die eine oder andere Story bei einem kühlen Bier.... * Morgen zeige ich euch einige Innenaufnahmen.... ========================================================================== This beautiful Western Saloon incl hotel we discovered at Los Alamos (California) in search of a gas station. We could hardly believe it. Here, time seemed to stand still. Of course we could not miss us to photograph this piece of jewelry. So far we have seen such a location only as backdrops for movies. But here was a real Saloon which is still fully operational. Live Music every weekend is here. And who is unfit to drive on those evenings, you can check into the hotel. The owner let me photograph willingly and told us the one way or another story at a cold beer .... * Tomorrow I'll show you some interior shots .... CHEERS Juli

Dieses Hotel ist großartig! In meiner Fantasie läuft schon wieder der wildeste Film, und ich sehe, wie das Fenster splittert und ein Typ herausfällt. Genauso diese Doppeltür, die ist geradezu dafür gebaut, um einer Saloon-Keilerei nachzugeben... Starkes Bild!

A great old building and a good story. We Americans can be a friendly bunch. I'm glad you got to shake the dust from your boots and step up to the bar for a cold one. Ein großes altes Gebäude und eine gute Geschichte. Wir Amerikaner können ein freundliches Bündel sein. Ich bin froh, dass du den Staub von den Stiefeln schütteln und Schritt bis zu der Bar für ein kaltes.
