Description

This design represents my idea of an alternate USS Enterprise. While it draws heavily on the Enterprise designs by Andrew Probert from the early Star Trek movies and Ryan Church from JJ Abrams version of Star Trek, it also attempts to include a few more features from the Enterprise of the Original Series. I make no claim that this design is any better than those of Probert and Church, It is just an exercise of what suits my personal taste as a speculative spaceship designer. The USS Enterprise has inspired so many artists to do their own version of it. As a Star Trek fan who has been so influenced by it in my own work, I offer this tribute to the vision of Matt Jefferies, Andrew Probert, and Ryan Church. The 3D CGI model is heavily modified from the JJ Abrams Enterprise model done by Ricky (Madman) Wallace. You can see his wonderful starship art on his website at http://www.madshipyard.com. The design also features many elements of an alternate USS Enterprise design done by Jude Xavier.
