Description
An extension of my love for science fiction, this is a model of the USS Enterprise from the first six Star Trek movies which I finished last month. Its my first beauty render, and test setup for an animation which will become part of my demo reel.

Wow, this looks like a still from a movie. However, all of the advice I've gotten about demo reels (I'm a student at the Art Institute for computer animation) says that space ship scenes (especially something like Star Trek) are strict no no's! Nobody viewing a demo reel wants to see this. They want to see something original that's going to seperate you from the crowd. Just some friendly advice handed down from every intructor and industry person I've talked to. I really like this render though!

malfunkshun - when it is that stunningly beautifull, I think they'll probably completely forget that it's scifi. ;) That may not be original, but it definately seperates him from the crowd. Now all he has to do is create some original stuff to go with it.
