Wonderfully delightful work of art here. You really captured the atmospher of the dance hall in this one. I can almost here the sound of the music, people talking and laughing as others dance to the sweet sounds. Bravo! and I remove my hat to ya for this one bro.

the photograph had real contrasts, as you said in your description, and a real slice of humanity. But with paint, you've drawn out all the inner life from these dancers and they burst into our eyes. Amazing this is such a small painting, as it has a 'largesse' to it. As always, you have such luminous hues: The light blues contrasted with the darker blues (of the man's pants); or the light reds contrasted with the darker reds (of his shirt). Even your dark hues, on both people, are so saturated, they have a life of their own. And you've turned the background behind them into a deep dark place, with luminous blues catching our eyes. I love the quick strokes on the wall, the fast energy of them all...and the turquoises on the floor, like little flashes of lightning. And the woman's pants stand out so heavily in those wonderful pinks and violets. Another energy-inducing, eye-popping painting from you. It looks like it was done relatively quickly, though maybe it wasn't; but the energy, here, is quite immediate. Spontaneous and wonderful work.
