Description
Zam's Prehistoric World,
Mythology according to Zam.
Notes: Though I know who Nam is, where he came from, where he will end up and what he does. I don't feel that the character is fleshed out enough. This is crazy hard. For every one question I manage to answer/solve in the story, fifteen more replace it.
btw, if you think you have figured out who Nam is, you are probably right. but don't think I've given the store away, the last page is already written and sits waiting for me to finish the Nam and Kaz story. And I think it's a great ending. I guarantee it will not be anything like you imagine. I will tell you though, Nam will not win his challenge against the rival Spirit. Sorry.
Narrative:
The morning sun rose over the trees of the forest and melted the light frost laying on the ground.
Nam opened his eyes and glanced at Kaz's sleeping fur's. She wasn't there. He sat up and looked around and found her sitting on a rock near the fire. She seemed to be mending some leather.
Nam rolled out of his sleeping furs and grabbed his soft leather boots.
"Kaz," Nam inquired, "have you seen my hunting belt?" He was shaking his furs out trying to find the belt.
"I have it right here, just finished." Kaz held the belt up for Nam.
Nam hopped over, trying to pull his boots on, and took the belt, curious as to what Kaz had been doing with his belt. He inspected his belt and found that Kaz had fixed a single blue gem stone to the front of the belt.
"Well, put it on," Kaz said anxiously.
Nam wrapped his belt around his waist and fastened it. The blue gem sparkled in the sunlight. It really did look nice, thought Nam, no other hunter he knew had anything like this. He didn't know what to say to Kaz.
"I wish we had some more blue stones," Kaz smiled at him, "I could make the best jeweled belt any hunter ever had."
Nam looked at Kaz's face. She was obviously very proud of her work, and rightfully so, he had no idea she was such an accomplished leather worker.
Kaz caught his eye and stared into those deep blue eyes. She swore she could see the whole night sky in there. They sparkled like a thousand stars.
Kaz shook her head to clear it.
"Go get us some fish for breakfast, Nam Hunter," Kaz ordered.
Nam grinned, turned and trotted off to collect the fish.

As long as you know the answers to all the questions you come up with, you don't have to explain them ALL to us. All those details are what makes a character rich, and it enables you to make the story as simple or as complicated as you like. Figure it out, yes, but don't feel like you have to WRITE it all out. I think you're doing a great job. :)
