Description
This is an image which I have been trying to perfect since 2007. The early attempts were pathetic. Gradually from P7,P8,P9 up to P10 and Octane. It became better, but not really good.
Then at some point I was looking at the original inspiration and I noticed that the sunlight was coming from a complete different direction. Then I remembered why I did that - Without it P7 and later really had no good lighting system (for natural environments). And when IBL and IDL came, it was not much better due to colorization by the environment. I had totally forgotten about that and changed the sunlight direction back to what the inspiration had - and to my surprise all the colors became alive and vibrant, Like the inspiration.
The lesson I learned is that with a new render engine: Do throw away your light setup and start from scratch - it really makes a difference.
I don't consider the image finished, so I'd love comments on how to improve it.
Image rendered in Octane.
Dress is MFD with my own modified textures helped by Fabi's materials. Swan boat is from RDNA.

It is a beautiful image! Whatever you did with the lights really worked. The only suggestion I have is to soften the draping slightly. It looks like an uncomfortable fabric I once had to wear.

Thanks - yes, the fabric is one of the areas which I do not really like - the skirt is fine, the drape is not. I used a turbulence node and it did not work good enough The lights - it really is a single light (sunlight), high up and shing onto her back. In Firefly that will not work, but in Octane it did The image loses some of its brightness because of the translation to JPG, but it still looks pretty good
