I can still remember the first time I met Dyzan Shad. It was the night of my twenty-first birthday and I was startled into wakefulness by a commotion at the far end of my bedchamber. The house guard have ever been loyal and alert, and cornered the intruder before he had made it ten feet into the room. Fully awake by then, and not a little annoyed at being woken before I had slept off my birthday libations, I asked him what sort of idiot would dare to steal into the royal apartments at night - unarmed. And his explanation? "But my Lady, it's your birthday. I could have left my gift with all the others on the palace steps, but then how would you have known it was from me?" Up until this morning, there was a crazy albino guy licking his knife and a bloke who randomly looked like Arnold Schwarzenegger backing him up...
