WOW! There is so much to like about this photo. Very young children and animals are always a good match: there's always such shared enthusiasm. This is stunning, and I love those dramatic clouds!

The decision to split this one 60/40 with the sky and the ground seems like a good one as both have strong textures and contrast but there is just enough of bit more ground to lead you into the picture. The child behind the dog leads the eye perfectly along the line of movement.
