Description

Sometimes what should be an easy walk in the park turns out to be anything but. My goal was to create a simple everyday scene that looked photorealistic. I spent the entire weekend trying to create such an image. The lighting in particular was a challenge because I wanted it to look almost dull but real like house lighting can be rather than dramatic like it was shot in a studio. Anyway, this image really does not cry out for comments. But I want to post it anyway so I can be done with it and get on with my life.

Maybe it's not what you had in mind, but it's in all ways outstanding nonetheless!

I feel your frustrations. The pose and POV are perfect. The hair and Skin texture look a little too "Matte" looking I guess. Glossing them up a little might improve the overall look of the image. One neat thing about Reality is you can take any texture and "right click" and "Convert to light". This would be a great trick to use on the computer screen. then you could adjust the color and amount of light that the computer screen emits. you may have already done this. but if not I think it would light up the face, while keeping the surrounding area darker, giving a realistic look. The posing is very natural and relaxed looking. Great looking render!
