the photo has a moody "interior" quality, and I love the motion-blurs of the shot too. But the painting---whoosh! You exploded out the energies and inner lives of these people, and they jump off the canvas. You've elongated those stretched arms---or it seems that way---and they seem to be stretching over all of space. And wonderful how the red on those two edge-people "frame" the people in the center. The center people have blues and whites (and flesh tones) and are 'cooler' than the two dancers. And then you have your wall: Awash in beautiful pinks and reds and darker hues---all painted on with such energy---we can see the brush lines and the rushing of your hand. The wall around the left female is electric in its brush-work! Jock, thanks for your kindness in my gallery, and for your kind wishes when I left and when I came back: I appreciate all of it. Your gallery is hugely alive with energy, love and vision, and it's a pleasure to be here. I have to stop now, but I hope to be back again before I leave for another while. But know that I look here all the time, and it's great to come here and have my eyes blown open every time. Beautiful work, on all levels...so alive.
