Another photo from my hike. I think these blooms are amazing to see, they reach high into the sky, Taking a wild guess as to its height, I'd say It was probably around 10/12 feet tall. Even before reading your description, I imagined that this was one tall blossom! I love the sense of scale here, and those little bloom clusters are really amazing. I love the mostly clear, blue sky...it makes me think of that sort of hot blue you get in summer. This is really well done.

Good heavens, I didn't know that the yucca plant produced flowers. Terrific clarity, composition and contrast of the tall flower spire against the deep blue sky, Melinda.
