I took my notepad to the cemetary today again where you lie to the right of my tree, the tree I ran to as a child to shelter me where no one could find me for hours wrapped in its branches Protecting me I cant feel your hand upon my face again and Im starting to forget what it felt like and if I completely forget I think I might die too I listened to the wind and hoped I would hear you say my name just one more time how you said "Jenny" but it was always more than my name It was a code word for "I love you, my daughter, now and forever" I listened, and I listened and all I heard were the dump trucks passing on the street nearby widening the road again, until those of you who are trying to "rest" will find yourselves roaming the countryside looking for someplace quiet to lie down again Watched the sunset, it was golden and red, like your hair before it fell out I thought I heard a bird laughing at my thoughts of you gluing it to one of your rabbit figurines informing us that it would be a tragedy to waste such thick hair on a landfill I agree.... People started leaving as the darkness crept in something about a graveyard at night sends them running to the safety of their cars flipping on their headlights before turning the engine over just to get into the "Light" afraid of the dead walking at night in search of something.... but we dont know what. I think I will just lay here a while Momma next to you, under the stars if you decide to walk the graveyard at night I want to walk with you and feel your hand upon my face again so I dont ever forget...... Ever ~*~*~ I took this with my webcam actually, so its not the greatest quality...it pretty much bites. but it kinda captures my emotions at the time I was writing this. I was kind of thinking, reflecting, etc. or something. Im not sure :( sorry
