Description
Venice. The Frari’s Basilica. The Altar of the Relics. Bas-relief in Carrara marble representing the Entombment of Jesus (detail), by Francesco Penso alias Cabianca (1665-1737). A couple of man lay Christ to rest on a sheet and the Mother mourns her dead Son.
