Description

A few days back, Mike laid down the gauntlet to render Neil's excellent Lancaster model.. and as one never to back down from a challenge... here 'tis!! Not as classy as Mike's Vue render.. but in keeping with my style :o). A tribute also to the WAAF's of the ATA, who flew all sorts of aircraft, delivering them from the assembly plants and repair units to the squadrons on active service. I used the "Phantom of the Ruhr" tex... one of the ton up Lanacaster's.. a 121 mission ship that was retired in November 1944. If I'm correct, Neil's 'skin' represents her early in her career, when serving with 100Sqn. now off to tutu with the Manchester.....

Great looking model & render mate. I saw the Dambusters tribute again this week as well - a great watch as always. ...and believe it or not, I only saw the "aircrew" at the very last moment ....weird or what!

When I was a kid, I was crazy about old aircrafts...I now prefer women ! Here I've got both and they're both good looking !

Cheers Martin for the mention. This is so cool. I think you could be onto something here...planes and girls :) I saw a docu on tv a while ago about the WAAF's of the ATA, very interesting and they are not given enough credit for what they did. More of these mate :)

This "Angela Yo" is the most wonderful Anatomic Bomb ever, isn't it ? In all cases a nice "vintage" render !
