Description
Bevor the story can starting, you have to know an important detail.
In her past, Mary loves the young Frederic Belville, the son of the old Belville, owner of Marmalon, an estate, much better than the almshouse, she comes from. In their youth, the two met daily under the willow. There the two teens kissing. Both promised to marry each other. On this day, Frederic opened her that he was going for six years in a school in Southampton.
Mary was desperate, because now she had no one left with whom she could share her concerns. Her mother did not respect the constantly coughing and fragile-looking child. Her father was a drunk, just like her big brother and her big sister wanted to have nothing to do with her.
