Description

I worked on it today . I got the arm of the lady messed up so I tried to fix it and the more I worked with it the worst it got. Plus the flesh colors was not what I wish to be but sometimes I put a glaze on top to make it right and also give it a depth. Not all the time but we see.The color on the red clothes is coming out good and may work on it some more ; but I like to get the other area don first before I work on the red shirts. I like the shirt on the man in back. Still need some work on it; will work some more on the shirt and skin of the lady on the left. Plus her arms and hands need more work. I had missed drawing her left arm too long so I tried to shorted it some. The arm on the man on the left need work also. Skin is not right for sure lol I most likely braking rules here on painting. But I do know when I start messing up and it get worse as I try to fix it ,it time to stop. background i what in till I get the rest of the painting done to see what to do there? the back ground is more like the ones on top as I did not mess with it today. It just the lighting and the camera that made a differ. Oh the man in back arm is the dark brow

It's looking really good, Jock! Vibrant colors and lots of motion – can't wait to see this when it's finished! As far as I'm concerned, when creating art the only rules are the ones you make yourself... Other than a few basic rules of composition, the art will lead you in the direction it wants to go – at least that's what I've found.

Oh, shades of Vincent van Gogh at this stage of your painting effort, Jock. Lots of color, texture and brush strokes going on here. Super awesome cool.

OH Yes. I had same difficulties as you had with the arms, so I worked per intuition and ended up with my own arms, as I couldnt on the photo see how they really should be. But Jock, I am sure you will get there, as I see alot of super stuff in this painting. Alot of movement; and I love your brushstrokes full of courage, that I dont have. It will be a wonderful painting. I am not commenting in RR in two weeks, but I cant help making an exception, here, because this is too exciting.
