When my students ask me my concept of hero, the first image that comes to mind is that of a group of firefighters walking toward the World Trade Center in flames. When I saw that documentary, I knew they were going to their deaths. Not with weapons, but with tools, trying to save the lives of strangers. We honor those who sacrifice themselves for the good of others. Your photography is a great tribute to them.
