Wonderful capture as always, the quality never slips, great detail. I remember as a child fishing a pond where these were flying around in their masses, all different colours.. Red, White, Green, Yellow etc.. it was a sight to see, never seen it since. Great shot Andrea.

A superb capture! Their bodies look so angular at times don't they? With the limited joints along its body length. Are they on the Skunk cabbage leaves?

A really good hatching? So that's what they're calling it now. Quite acrobatic but then love is in the air so you do what you have to do. A superb pair of images. I completely agree with you on the composition of the second image. Brilliant work.
