Description
A truly lucky find in the nature reserve. The nest was in a smallish tree by a path. We spotted something on the nest moving about. Thinking it could be a Wood pigeon nest. I then noticed we had been spotted first. We were being watched by a very fluffy Sparrowhawk chick. We reported our find to the reserve warden. He was very excited as it was the first Sparrowhawk nest found on the reserve.
The shot had to be taken on a very high ISO ( 3200 ) so was quite grainy. That's why I have done such a small file.

Super find Kevin. I watched two adults play fighting in the sky tonight. one would fly really high and then dive at terrific speed down to the other.
