Description

"Tomato flowers and Fruit" This year I snuck two tomato plants into my wife's flower gardens. We are just starting to get Fruit . YEA! Nothing beats the wonderful flavor of fresh vine ripened tomatoes. In the tomato plant the little hair cells are thought to be important in protecting the plants from insects and other environmental hazards like animals, frost, wind (evaporation), and sun, or to help collect moisture . Taken in early morning indirect light w/reflected flash. Thanks for viewing my gallery and your comments.

A home grown tomato has a flavor no grocery store glob can come close to. We have several varieties in large containers that are doing well so far. As wet as this summer has been, I'm afraid they will rot before they ripen.

Seems pretty early in the season - well it would be for us in the northeast - but good to see. Nice shot, love the details the light brought out.
