This must be one of the CASA 109's. Beautiful shot! I wish I could see those around here. We got to see the CASA He-111 a few times.

What a beauty mate and these were based on one of my all time favourite aircraft. This is a 'Battle Of Britain' film star isn't it.

Fantastic image Neil. Good shot and good retouching. @ UVDan: Indeed is the version made with Seville, of the Bf109 with Merlin engine but not CASA. Are Hispano Aviacion HA-1112 ML "Buchon". Also the version of the Heikel 111 was built by Hispano Aviacion. The "Hispano Aviacion" was a successor company "Hispano Suiza", later, 1971, absorbed by CASA (Construcciones Aeronauticas SA) and subsequently would form part of the European group EADS. The "Buchon" one built from 1954-1961, had an operational career modest, was withdrawn from service in 1965. Due to penury of the country and the shortage of gasoline, some units were auctioned with few hundred flight hours. For collectors, flying clubs, film producers and scrap merchants, it was a unexpected joy.
