I doubt if any pilots in the old Imperial German Air Service looked this cute..but the uniform is a good approximation of the real thing. I like the pose in front of the old Fokker E-III - a pilot would need to be that arrogant to fly what amounted to a wooden kite with a motor and a a gasoline tank, covered in canvas and painted with highly flammable varnish...most of those pilots were killed before they ever saw combat.
