Description

When the hovercopter appeared, Macali shut down her her transdimensional decryption routines and melted away into the forest, even though she had not completed the download of the data from the dish. Bypassing the security systems in the presence of the technician presented her no problems at all, but she knew that there was a strong possibility that the personnel arriving in the 'copter would have technology capable of detecting her presence in transdimensional space-time... Vue 11.5 Infinite, minor post work and signature in Photoshop CS6. Forest, dish and futuristic helicopter from C3D, Sylka Scout from DAZ3D. This started as an exercise in atmospherics and light, and gradually grew into another scene from the ongoing Human vs Opae saga. Please zoom for detail and a surprise (hint: lower left...)! Thanks for popping in. Macali brews a mean pot of transdimensional coffee - please help yourself... Craig PREVIOUS: Under the arch

Fantastic atmosphere in this one Craig...like the low light too. The figure in yellow is a great touch to contrast against the blues in the scene!

I just had a cup of that coffee, and it was excellent! Macali's crouched form is so subtle, so beautifully done, that she seems as much a part of the environment as the trees. (She hangs around here too, more than you know!)

Interesting and well done. A little along my recent render (completely accidental of course.) Btw. the future copter from C3D needs a little tweaking with the materials, the windows are just empty holes, easily fixed. You can see it in my "Landing Party" render.

Well I looked in the lower left, but---mea culpa!---I didn't find the surprise! Sorry, lol! I missed it entirely! Macali's form is a revelation in itself, though, almost like a buddha in the forest. But I know that's not what you meant. (I even downloaded it and opened it in a viewer and upped the exposure, etc: Still didn't find the surprise. Did someone steal it???) But! It's a delightful, mysterious, reaching, strange, magical image, and Macali's form is just wonderful, she's actually the center of the image---once we know the narrative---which is great because she's nearly invisible and off to the side, as she's supposed to be. But her buddha-like crouch is marvelous in the midst of this mysterious light and shadow, and across, too, from that standout yellow technician. (Great choice of hue.) The light behind the trees---I assume that's from the helicopter? If not, maybe it's an orb or moon. Well it's beautifully done, more of your radiating light fracturing itself as it goes into the world...And again you have those varying grades of dissolve in the background, a world covered in mists. (The tall trees seem like ghosts.) The dish-station is done in a fine blue, to make it stand out from the image's palette of shadows and dark hues. And even in the dish-station you have fine detail inside shadow. (See? My first comment set a 'theme', and I didn't even know it, lol!) And the water is typically done with real panache and sheen. And btw, the intense light reflecting on the water---beneath Macali---is beautiful, Craig. As is the silhouette of all those front-left branches against that light, and the interleaving branches to their left. More of your light-in-darkness magic, with very clear detail yet a lot of mystery and hiddenness. And your beautiful signature light pouring through the shadows like prayers. Well I have to go at long last, even though there are other images in your gallery crying out to me. I'll try to get here again soon...but at least you know I've really loved what you've done, and love walking into its universes. I hope all is well with you, Craig, and that the light and grace of your heart (of which you have a plenitude) are ever alive, for you and all you touch. Beautiful work, everytime. A real gift to come here...
