Description

As you can see by the tightness of its feathers it was very aware of me and ready to take off. Please zoom for better coloration. I should add that this was taken through our conservatory window - I cleaned them next day!!

Pretty colours. Not so many of them round here this year. Lots of jackdaws and pigeons, though, and 2 nesting magpies.

Superb capture. Blackbirds and starlings can be seen here unfortunately increasingly rare.

Ours are speckled, they're very pretty, although they look quite clumsy when they fly. I have a large number of them that come through and avail themselves of my feeders every few days! I like them, although I know they're not popular. Lovely shot!

These are the colours I usually associate with the internal colours of the Abalone shells, sort of 'Mother-of-pearl' - what a great choice for bird feathers ;)) super catch Jeff, BB

Beautiful colors. :))))) The starlings around here clean our bird feeders out to where the other birds have nothing to eat. :)))))) Most excellent capture my friend. :)))))) Thank you for sharing all of the beauty you see. :))))) Carry A Sunshine Smile In Your Heart :)))))

An introduced bird here, and not very well liked as they take over and kill bluebirds in nests. Europeans can take them back anytime, and please take the English Sparrows back too!
