Description

The moon called to her. The lantern swung from her arm carelessly. The light within was like a captive star, it reflected on her moon kissed skin making her shine almost as brightly as the lantern itself as she walked. The darkness recoiled and moved along the edge of that same light as if it were alive. Deeper in that inky blackness things moved, they were not so much part of the darkness as born of it. The cold snapped at the edges of her cloak frosting the velvet edges. It tried to take bites out of her exposed skin but it was a bite with no real teeth, for she was elf kin. She stopped at a stream to dip her hand down into the cool clean depths, forming a cup of her hand she drew the precious moisture to her lips in effort to lessen the burning in her throat. She drank deep thrice, not enough to quiet the thirst but she had little time to linger. “It is enough.” She thought. It had been foolish for her to wander so far from the camp. Too many things snapped eagerly in the darkness. She could sense them following along behind her. Too many things would easily claim her if she did not move faster in that too small circle of protective light. She had woken, stiff and restless from her sleep and the moonlight had called. It had called, not caring that it was dangerous for her to answer. It was walk and bear the burden of risk, or suffer in the closeness of the tent while the moon continued its siren call. She had chosen to take the risk. The moon shone on, only barely touching her with its fingers of light. Her feet ached as she made haste the soft material of her slippers doing little to protect the feet they covered as she crunched over rock and twig in her anxiousness to be back in the protection of the camp. She almost stumbled twice such was her haste, a rare thing for one of her kind. ~~~ Yes, it's the dragon dress again. I just love that thing. This was done in Poser Pro - it finally came!! loving it sofar, except for the frequent crashes :P Hopefully the next SR update they'll have more of the bugs out, or I'll figure out what I'm doing wrong :P ANYWay, this is part of the story I promised. Its the beginning of chapter 1, of a story I haven't gotten very far with, but hopefully with some work and some pictures it'll move it along.. or not We'll see. Thanks for Looking :)
