Description
Otherwise known as "This is what you want, this is what you get" by P.I.L. The image was inspired by a friend of mine who posted an article about the Adam Robot from DARPA. She likes giant robots but neither her husband or I do because it reminds us of the movie "Hardware". and the M.A.R.K. XIII killer robot in it. "The Order of Death" is part of the soundtrack to the movie and more or less the movie's theme song.
Well, all this coupled with thinking back on Clay's past in Motor City and the UG there, as well as Seth's (barryjeffer) image with the Runner outfit all started working together in my head. Throw in some flammable slime on the floor from Skyrim, a little Riddick and lots of DM props and voila. I wish I had the Runner outfit but I had to settle for some PD textures instead...which is okay by me because I love PD's textures and have not regretted buying any one of them. I tried to get close with a mishmosh of Sixth Sense's "Wolf Leathers", Powerage's "M4 The Freelance" and some bits of "Midnight Hunter" all texturized with the Animalz Dirty Leather and liberally splashed with red in PShop.
I don't often do low-light images and even less with shadows, but this was screaming for both and it was more messing with the lights than anything else. There are other little things added in PShop besides the glowing floor slime, but you might need to zoom to see them. Mr. Skeleton (Skelly) also makes an appearance, as well as Simon's (G2) arm. Background is a freebie ("Industrial Chamber) from ShareCG by Ravenous.

Thanks to Art and Seth for making me smile on their comments on "My 3 Bad Boys". Those two songs along with "Order of Death", and "Play That Funky Music White Boy" have been rotating on the head-radio all day. Sometimes "I am The Slime" by Zappa sneaks in too. "Funky Music" is Angel's fault and another story entirely : ) All five are preferable to "Yellow Submarine" and "Dawn" by the Four Seasons - neither of which ever want to go away once they're on play. (Never could stand Frankie Valli's voice.) So, it's okay!
I was a little taken back to see Clay referred to as 'androgynous looking' when in my mind Brennan is the more androgynous of the two. Although Rene seems to think Clay is 'pretty' and him and Seth must have something going on. Lol. No, Clay is not a 'two spirit', but Brennan...well, it's possible in the odd moment. He does prefer girls though.

Very cool image....I likey!! I couldn't tell if the character is Clay or Seth.....I had to "zoom in" to see that the character is Clay. He looks great there, and I like the background and the colors and lighting.....great job Ray....

Oh, maybe I got confused. Wasn't certain if you were referring to the viewer's right and left or screen right and left. Anyway...this is truly scary. The uplighting definitely makes the mood.

Love it Ray! But this is my kind of world, desolate and desperate. You nailed the atmosphere and mood. I texture like a blind man, so I can only depend on others to produce the things I use in my pictures. You have a talent for producing your own visions wonderfully. Yeah, that song was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw your last upload... I could see them causing shit in every bar in town and taking off with the local women... grinning.

Spuper dystopian sci-fi scene Ray. You did an expert job with the light. Just enough light to see and and plenty of shadow to set the mood. Excellent outfit and work on the textures. All the post effects fill in those extra details. Awesome work and image!

A great outfit just right to massacre bad guys. Leather can be cleaned with a damp cloth always good ... A very impressive picture, a very exciting scene! Made terrific!

It's indeed a little bit different from your usual work but this is maybe even better. Sometimes it is good to try some other stuff.I'me not so familiar with dark movies, music etc. I only can say, you have made a terrific image here! Gr.Rudy.
