Description

This render is the last of a series that was started around six weeks ago. Why I do show only this one you ask? Because all the other renders did fail in the end: Parts of the rock didn't render because Terragen2 did choke on the powerfractals used. Not noticeable in the small 800x600 renders but when rendered on 1600 and bigger the smaller displacements simply did not render , showing ugly straight lines with the rock or sky behind it showing. I managed to tweak them so that there were almost no render flaws in this one but still, I had to use Gimp for some minor touch-ups. But there's hope, hope I finally found some settings that do allow flawless renders while at the same time producing some interesting and "realistic" rock. Bamboo bushes used are homegrown, created with Arbaro. Thank you for viewing and comments; much appreciated! Andy

Very cool work...Please keep on. I also have had render issues with the background poking through the foreground in some wonderful images. I tried raising the camera angle...lower quality settings...higher planet displacement tolerance. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't...I hope to see more images like this!!!
