Description


As I'm still working on visualizing my characters, I have an older gentleman with a beard that I wanted, so I decided to play with my Garibaldi Hair System for it. I've seen lots of hair styles but not much in the way of beards, especially trimmed beards. It's still a work in progress. Getting a handle on how it deals with each strand is bit of a pain. Still, the results aren't bad. Not sure how to have longer strands in one section and shorter ones in another without having to do two maps. The character is Thomas for M5 (Genesis). He seemed perfect for an older individual without much tweaking. I haven't worked on him at all yet, just the beard. My main issue right now is the 'hair' seems so 'perfect'. No anti-aliasing at all, so it doesn't seem very natural. I'll keep tweaking and see what I can come up with.

It looks good to me. Maybe you can work over the texturemap to trim it as you want.

Does the texture map control the length though? I thought it was controlled by the settings, not the texture map.
