Description
Captured back on 5/16/10, before noon, at the beautiful 16th Annual Muckenthaler Motor Car Festival, held at the beautiful Muckenthaler Cultural Center in beautiful Fullerton, California.
Time to stop ignoring the virtually forgotten vehicle department of my capacious files, and begin posting these beauties again.
------------
The Hudson Italia was an automobile styling study and a limited production two-door compact coupe that was produced by the Hudson Motor Car Company of Detroit, Michigan in cooperation with Carrozzeria Touring of Italy, and subsequently marketed by American Motors Corporation during the 1954 and 1955 model years. Designed by Frank Spring, and introduced 14 January 1954, the Italia was based on the Hudson Jet platform and running gear, but with a unique body and interior.
The Hudson Italia gained international recognition, but only 26 of these stylish models were produced. The automobile was Hudson's "last gasp for an image-building smash hit."

The front bumper looks like it's wheedling.
A rare bird, indeed, and well worth a ZOOM.
Ciao, baby, and have a nice day.

What an exceptional auto! It reminds me of a cartoon car, with that grin-toothed mouth and the wide-set eyes, like something out of "Who Framed Roger Rabbit"... wonderful shots in this collage, Harry, giving us a good view of this yellow beauty!
