Description
This is the real Stonehenge captured about 20 past 10 yesterday morning as we passed by in a bus.
Here you can see how the present heat wave, we are having, is killing the grass.

Thanks for the view of the original! We had so much fun visiting the replica, as well as Carhenge (which is a hoot) ... and we're sorry to have missed Fridgehenge, but I hear it's been torn down. (It was a replica made of refrigerators.) It's great to see this! Thanks again! :)

good old Stonehenge, a place i'm very familiar with, its a pity in a way that its so far from the road as all you get is a lot of field with the Stones in the distant, mch better in the old days when you could walk around them and even touch

Dang, it does look dry there! It's just not the same as with the rolling green hills. That's terrible :( I heard Epping Forest caught fire today down by London. This is a lovely capture of the old place Jeff! Hope you had fun on your outing :)

Not the usual green Eng grass! Impressive sight

Looks like my back yard, minus the standing stones (just one round lump of stone in mine, covered with rough moss). I hate the dryness of summer!

Beautiful and natural.....before it was trashed by the Health and safety brigade! Barriers etc.. History at its finest and indeed oldest! Lovely mate! Rob

The first time I saw Stonehenge I was 16 and it was on my first trip out of the USA. It was in 1973 and you could walk among the stones. To say I was impressed would be an extreme understatement. . Marvelous place and beautiful capture!
