Well, at first I refused to write any notes on this, but I think just some words ain't too much. :) This is simply a test scene I created to try out Stonemason's amazing Streets of Asia 3. The clothing 'Way of the Samurai' (by Luthbel) and 'Princess Asia' (by - esha -) interfere a bit because they mix traditional japanese and chinese themes, but maybe this adds some kind of story. The composition was done in DAZ Studio 4.6 by simply posing the characters near the pool facing the moon gate to get caught by the sun, which is, as in many of my renders, the only source of light. Ok, it is the reality sun, so there is the sunlight and corresponding skylight as ambience. Aimed the camera to catch some structures in the foreground for DOF wich blurrs the backgroundstructures as well. I always try to tweak the shaders a little bit in Reality... metal for silky cloth, turning down the gloss and so on but that just some tweaking. Some major work I invested into the water to receive the right mixture of transparency, color and reflection. Stonemason's textures on water are very well, but it is possible to get them even better in playing with gloss, transparency and (what is essential to me) bump and displacement. There is no postwork except for the signature addes in Gimp 2.6 To complete the credits...
