Hello Rendosians !
I'm back from my vacation and I wanted to share some pictures with you.
The first one is a photo of the Etna volcano, located in the eastern part of Sicily.
Etna is still an active volcano and the last eruptions were in 2001 and 2004.
The most important eruption was in 1669. After several days of earthquakes, the volcano poured 1 billion m3 of lava.
It destroyed partially Catania wich was located 17 kms (10 miles) from there.
It was a real thrill to see this volcano !
I dedicate this picture to emmecielle (Maria Concetta) because she lives not far from the Etna volcano.

Ah, enfin ! le voile est levé sur ta récente destination ;-) que j'imagine magnifique et chargée d'histoire. Quoi ? Déjà de retour ? Mais j'imagine que tu as dû en profiter un maximum ; en tout cas, tu reviens avec une belle photo -et d'autres vont suivre ?- qui donne envie d'aller là-bas. C'est vraiment beau, lumineux, coloré...toute la Sicile, en somme. Tu remarqueras que je me suis retenu et que je n'ai pas dit "L'Etna, c'est moi !" Je pars demain pour quelques crapahuts dans les Hautes-Alpes.

Très belle photo !! Je n'ai pas visité la Sicile mais cela ressemble un peu (sur la photo du moins) à ce que j'ai vu à Monte Cassino...
