I imagine this is what Detroit must feel like, a dying city populated with abandoned buildings and a feeling of despair. The perfect place for an apocalyptic setting. And I love how you used the character of Eli as your central figure. I love the background colors too--that vivid, turquoise blue glimpse of sky, almost as a color of hope. Well, so much corruption in that city, I heard once that one of the Mayors was dredging he Detroit River with public funds looking for sunk barges, made hundreds of thousands of dollars on salvage and kept it for himself. Great statement in that piece, Seth. Great art!

A very dark and surrealistic style in an Armageddon type portrayal...a very cool image and the light at minimum with deep darks and shadow give the over-all composition to the piece a fierce justice, just great! what a terrific image...love the outfit...some would like to blame the democratic mayors, but what about the current corrupt republican governor and his henchmen...wonder how long it will be before these goons raid the pensions, which are insured by the fed gov and will be paid out by the fed...republicans have this down pat...this is what romney and his corrupt partners did over and over again...well, folks voted for this republican governor, so now they got the government they deserve...very sad situation for the middle class...
