Description

Vue8Frontier/Photoshop New ship model created in Vue8Frontier,textured with photos from CGTextures. Three terrains textured in a modified landscape material. Two spheres create the distant moons,with modified Vue rock materials applied...ground plane textured in same material. Sky,light and atmo are a modified preset,with clouds modified in Atmo Editor. Only postwork is a slight saturation boost,engine flares(cgtexture photo overlay)signature and resizing. Thanks for viewing,and for any comments!

Landscape is spectacular, textures and lighting beautifully done. Nothing does atmospherics like Vue – the cloudscape is exceptional. You’ve got the reflected shine on the second moon just right – I’ve spent a great deal of time lately in the NASA raw images database and there are some stunning images of Saturn’s moons backlit by light-bounce off Saturn’s cloud tops – which kind of undermines the deep shadow film noir popular in Hollywood SciFi at present. Your ship model is excellent – even more so because you built it in Vue, which is no simple task. Ship texture has just the right touch of metallicity, a form and design that might fit in any rustic space opera setting this side of Dune – all around, very well done. 5+ my friend.
