Thought they perch in old gum trees, but this one perched on the rope is striking. The details of the feathers amazing and beautiful, Wonderful photo.

They will perch on anything if it gets them closer to a meal. We took a trip into the bush years ago and just at dawn, all the kookaburras in the world start to "laugh". It's actually a wonderful sound. Then the cockatoos start. That is not so melodious. Beautiful photo and thanks for the memory trip.
