Description

In the late 1800’s, innovative scientists began collecting and storing seeds from all known plant species. The program was expanded to include plant and animal germ cells. This Noah’s Ark concept was expanded during the 40th and 50th centuries so that each continent had its own repository. These facilities deep underground were called outposts. They were staffed with military, medical teams and scientists of every discipline. They were allowed to bring their families. If an extinction event did occur, these outposts would serve as rebuilding sites for humanity. Our story revolves around Outpost 94. Originally known as Fort Collins, it was the home of the National Center for Genetic Resources Preservation. Outpost 94 - Stonemason Simple image - I know. Thanks for looks, comments and favs.

Maybe simple, but very good. A location that to us is shrouded in mystery. After a second or two observing this, you begin to wonder how vast the underground portion is. I guess I will have to wait. Well done with the story. Rick

An excellent image and tale... we do have these repositories where seeds of all kinds are stored and constantly replenished with fresh ones. Your scene rocks!

The scene is amazing. This one has that 1950's scifi feeling. Love those movies. This will be interesting to watch develop.
