Description

Kryger is one of the characters I designed for the "Season of Predators" novel. The brief for the character was as follows: two meters tall, lean looking, but big and beautifully muscled, golden-brown body. The face human but reminding one of a cat (not lion-like; more tiger or pussycat-like), stern and strong, emerald cat-like eyes (slit, vertical pupils), short, bi-colored hair (short striped curls), hairy, pointed cat ears. Set up and rendered in Vue 11.5 Infinite, character modified from models obtained at DAZ3D using Poser 2012 Pro. Craig PREVIOUS: Season of Predators

Yes, given that description, I'd say you nailed it too. (Tara) (Savage Dragon wrote "cool cat". Off topic, but that reminds me of my jazz days, when weathered jazz musicians called everyone "cat". "Mannnnn, that can can PLAY!" "Don't mess with THAT cat!" The expression "the cat's pajamas" referred to cool cats---humans---who were so rich they could afford to lounge around in pajamas all day long. And they wore some ritzy pajamas! Anyway, back to the image...) Yeah, you nailed all the features---following the assignment to a tee. And---this guy's got MUSCLES! "Big and beautifully muscled": Those thighs---to use the jazz vernacular again, "that cat's been workin' OUT, dude!" I hope your clients appreciate how you bring knowledge of anatomy to these pieces, because this is one beautiful piece of musculature: Renaissance artists would welcome you in without a password or name tag. (They went crazy over musculature, breaking away from the flatter medieval portrayal of human form...) You did a perfect job with the two toned curled hair, too. And with everything else, including the gentler feline look rather than the lion look. And he's dressed in some kind of stretch-fabric! (I'm not an expert here.) It looks like he's in perfect working out clothes. I don't know if you did that as a piece of subtle humor---he's human, so to speak, he does what we all do. But it has a subtle smile to it, which I just love about your work. But ok---he's jogging in an environment you wouldn't catch me jogging in unless I had a huuuge GPS system, a cell phone within reach of a signal, and guarantees that there weren't any huge, hungry creatures stalking in the shadows. That's a helluva place to go for a morning stroll! Big, looming, dark...But it has your 'craig' light---even in this deep ocean green blue, the light is breaking over the mountains and casting a beautiful light over everything, illuminating the peaks in silhouette. Grace...Very delicate background. More thoughtful work from you, Craig, and Kryger is beautifully done. (There's an old Sid Caesar routine where people speak of him as a great actor, but when he speaks, he speaks in a high squeaky voice. It would be great if this formidable cat-man spoke like Betty Boop. That's gotta take the edge off when he enters a room...)
