Description

Zam's Prehistoric World. Notes: As I've always said. Anything here is not locked in stone. I try a storyline, don't like it, try another. To be honest, Kaz and Nam was a broken storyline. That storyline will maybe be altered to a chapter or two or maybe even just an epilogue. Tarlock seems to be a storyline that works. We will see how that develops. But the Zam side story/injury/coma.. et. et.. well, I don't like it. It's a broken storyline that doesn't work. I’m not even going to try to find a logical shift, I’m just ending that storyline. Poor poor Zam, I always put him through the ringer. (Btw, I actually do know what the saying, "through the ringer means." My grandmother had one of those washers when I was a boy. Amazing that I still have fingers, but yea, I was also one of those kids that threw lawn darts in the air over my head just to try and dodge them. Grandma would stick her head out the window and yell, you be careful now.) Anyway, in the actual book I will be toning Zam's injury way way way down to a broken leg. I'll have the boy's say goodbye to each other on the battleship. Zam will go off to Kitsune to recover and Zan will continue on to Demon Prime. I’m considering altering the way Zam was injured. I’m reworking that whole scenario. But I won’t bore you with the details. As a matter of fact.. yea.. here comes one of my famous plot shifts. The next you see Zam, he will be in a cast, propped up on a pillow on the Fox Estate, in his father’s boyhood room.

I think most of us that have followed your work realize it is a work in progress. I confess that I prefer this type of image that you have created with the more impressionistic work as of late, to each his own. I too remember ringer washers, Gram had one in the kitchen.

Shift away. I just enjoy reading what you write. Your are making me feel really old with this "My Grandmother ..." stuff. I helped my Mother with the laundry as a little girl and we were thrilled when we got a washer with a motorized wringer! Get me my shawl and lead me to a rocking chair.
