Description
One of the many exotic flowers at the Bloedel Conservatory in Vancouver. Like the parrots in my last post, this flower was incredibly beautiful in person, but my photo didn't do it justice. I used the Ink Outlines filter this time to accentuate it's structure (applying it just to the flower in a separate layer from the background) & the central stalk ended up looking (to me, at least) like one of those BEMs (Bug Eyed Monsters) from an old sci-fi movie. I don't know what kind of flower this is.
One more photo coming up in which I used the Ink Outlines filter to transform a commonly seen object into an abstract image...

Lovely image.

Brashly beautiful. It looks like a hibiscus bloom to me. "Hibiscus is a genus of flowering plants in the mallow family, Malvaceae. It is quite large, containing several hundred species that are native to warm-temperate, subtropical and tropical regions throughout the world. Wikipedia."

Thanks to roguetographer, Celart & MrsRatbag for identifying this as a hibiscus. Though I love flowers, my ability to identify them is pitiful...
