Description

I just couldn't resist it. The Gloster Gladiator biplane fighter was an anachronism of fabric and wires at the outbreak of the Second World War, a prime example of how some Generals spend their days preparing to win the last war they had. Mind you that's surely better than planning the "next war." Mussolini didn't do a very good job of that. The Regia Aeronautica was also mostly fielding biplane fighters at the outbreak of hostilities. Briefly, "The Med" must have seemed like it was caught in a time-warp... Neil's neat Gladiator from Share CG re-mapped with a Western Desert camo texture, with a nod to No. 3 Squadron. Rendered in Vue 11 esprit Thanks for viewing and comments

The texture remap looks great. They fit right in that barren terrain below. Very nice work.

Fantastic render mate, love the re-texture....amazing to think these outnumbered Spitfires and Hurricanes combined in early 1939 and had all but vanished by early 1940.... Thanks for the mention mate, always appreciated.

Yep! It was Bi-plane Heaven and the further south you went, the further back in the past.. There were aircraft from the 20's fighting in the 40's in Sudan! Great work mate! Rob
