"Club Legends Mandalay Bay - Las Vegas 1998" My Thoughts On Being A Professional And Being The Greatest This is the way I figure it to be, you're only as good as you make yourself be, and if you have 'The Gift', the talent, the know how, you can be connected with the right people, then you sell and make a bunch of cash, that tells you, logically speaking, you are a professional and a success. But then there are those few that are so phenominal that they stand out among their bretheren, and then there are the handful that can do all the above, but also are the great innovators of the craft and invent something new that no one has done before...whether by accident or they were meant to, to me, that is is ultimate player. This is my professional opinion as one who was able to accomplish more as a drummer and took it farther than I ever thought would happen...but the fame was just out of reach for me due to finding the right players who were brave enough to go the distance....so after 18 years of playing, I retired my sticks and went to school... -J Michael Piper *My thoughts on my career and what I felt about it before I retired* J.Michael Piper *AnimateMotions.Com* J.MichaelPiper©2013 All Rights Reserved AnimateMotions.Com©2013 J.Michael Piper All Rights Reserved

I cannot say that I didn't give it one hell of a shot...33 bands I played with, 4 serious with longevity, 1 band that I gained some fame with all over the Hollywood California music scene in the 80's and 1 band that took me on a 10 month 14 country tour with a bigtime band opening for GnR, and that paid me Really Well!! So I was able to accomplish a whole lot more than I ever really dreamed I would do when I first got to be a serious player! Oh well...had alotta sex, did alotta drugs and played some serious music...Sex, Drugs and Rock n Roll...Yep did that cliche' at least, lol But mainly had alotta fun!!
