Description
This is a dragonfly nymph which has crawled up out of the pond and is now waiting to split its casing and emerge as a dragonfly.

Great shot, but I too see that he is gone! I had the same opportunity the other day but my shots turned out very poorly, but my friend Jack captured some that were fantastic and if I cannot get him to post them I will see if he will let me add them to my collage. I saw the entire emergence but did not realize exactly what was happening right away.
