Description
These shots are of a developing trend of padlocks being attached to the wiring of the Millenium bridge. As a romantic gesture to one another, couples from all over the world are attaching padlocks to the bridge - some are even ornately etched with thier names. I think its quite touching, but as real-estate starts getting used up I'm not too sure what a few extra tons of metal will do to the bridge - time will tell :).

Well, some relationships appear longer than others, and there is even a threesome in there too! Too bad the idea could not be transferred to another location where the weight could never be an issue. The lock companies must love this!

In fact, there was similar tradition also in Rome (ponte Miglio) and, at the end, a light pole collapsed under the weight of so many padlocks...
