Description

This is one of the smallest Dragonfly species in my area - less than 1" long. They fly close to the water and the female lays eggs on the tips of emergent plants. The male selects an egg-laying site and leads receptive females to it but it is the female who decides whether or not to mate. Most male Dragonflies don't ask, they just grab any female they can catch, lol. My thanks to those who take the time to comment. The feedback is appreciated. Lee
